Financing your training
1. You work: funding by the CPF or by the OPCO
When you work, you accumulate training credit, at the rate of €500 per year or €800 for low-skilled jobs, with a ceiling of €5,000. You can view your available credit in your account.
If your credit is not sufficient to finance your training, you can seek contributions, that is to say additional financing. Professional development counselors and your employer are there to help and support you in these steps.
If your training is taken during working hours, you must present your costed training project to your company, so that it can send it to the OPCO on which you depend.
Your OPCO covers the educational costs, in other words, the direct costs of the training, up to 100% as long as it falls within the allocated credit (CPF + contributions). It can also cover the annexes in the event of training outside working hours (travel expenses, accommodation, catering, etc.)
2. You are looking for a job: funding by Pôle Emploi and by public bodies
If you are looking for a job, your CPF rights remain open even if you do not receive unemployment benefit. However, you will have to send your request to your Pôle Emploi adviser (including if you depend on the APEC). He will decide on the relevance of the training.
You can also ask your Town Hall, Department and Region for assistance in financing your training. State agencies have a dedicated fund.
Do not hesitate to contact your training organization if you have any questions, they can assist you in all these steps.
