Learning the French language is essential for people of foreign origin wishing to settle or stay in France.
The MDL team offersFLE training adapted to the needs of each learner. We know how difficult it is to confront new mores, new habits and sometimes even new consumption patterns. This is why our trainers plan to work on daily and typically French themes to facilitate cultural learning, which should not be essentially academic.
Fun workshops, innovative grammar sessions and oral communication are the anchor points of our training.
French lessons for leisure
Throughout the year, we offer weekly French languagelearning sessions on our premises or directly online. Our resource center is also available to learners, where they will find press reviews, books and computers to access our online resources.
Generally in small groups, the sessions are two hours long with specific objectives:
- Oral expression: Speak, discuss a theme via video or text and be able to give your opinion.
- Authentic documents, immersion in the situation of “everyday life” in France
- Socio-historical and cultural contributions, “alternative” view of life in society: local and sustainable development (educational farm, shared garden, participatory science, minority rights, cultural events, etc.).
- Reading comprehension and written expression
- Didactic tools, games, TIB
- Personalized learning follow-up
- Certifying exam (if necessary)

Individual or duo French lessons
On specific objectives we offer duo or individual lessonswith one of our trainers. Sessions adapted to the needs of the learner so that he can respond favorably to the requirements set. Remotely or face-to-face, contact us and we will organize your sessions together.
Literacy and illiteracy
French language taught to a person who has never been educated in their own mother tongue, and who does not know the principles of reading and writing. We wish to respond favorably to this highly visible public in France. We therefore offer programs based on writing and reading to allow these individuals to emancipate themselves in order to gain confidence and autonomy.
- Learning the alphabet, simple syllables, phonetics
- Practice writing through fun and precise exercises
- Practice reading a variety of texts
- Interactive media still adapted to everyday life in France
- References of fundamental cultural elements
- Professional situation (cover letter, CV, job interview, etc.)
FLI (Français Langue D'intégration) for the migrant public
The French Language of Integration is in the continuity of new didactic fields such as French for Specific Objectives (FOS) or French Professional Language (FLP).
These sessions are reserved for newcomers, without economic resources, seeking to settle permanently in France. People who have been established in France for longer can participate in our training if their level of French is deemed too low or their academic capital is far from the republican requirements.
To welcome this fragile public, we organize fundraisers throughout the year (grants and donations).
Currently, there are twenty refugees established in France who follow our FLI training, an action supported by the GIP-DSU of the Bayonnaise conurbation (64).
Key skills:
The approach to teaching key skills consists of making the basic knowledge acquired in training dynamic and operational by linking it to given situations in which the subject can evolve and act more freely.
Resource Center in Bayonne
Our Resource Center is available to our members! Central place of the association, it is the main room of our premises.
You can consult newspapers, local information, literary works(all in a foreign language!) or learning manuals in each language that we offer, to complement your lessons. We also provide you with computers connected to the Internet, which you can freely use on our sofa or at one of our tables.
If you are not coming to work on your languages, you can come and say hello to us over a coffee or a tea that we will prepare for you with pleasure.
This is also where we keep the board games that we use during events!
Professional training
Our professional training can take placeonline or on our premises, and welcome groups of up to 10 people.
Individual French lessons
We will study your needs and expectations together and thusbuild an adapted and individualized program. An initial level test will be carried out, and a Bright certification will be given at the end of the course.
Group French lessons
An audit will be carried out beforehand to collect the needs of each employee and a tailor-made program will be created by us. An initial level test for each employee will be carried out, and a Bright certification will be given to each at the end of the course.
General objectives:
- Acquire, develop or improve professional communication in French

- Face-to-face, distance or hybrid courses: focused on oral production with a qualified and experienced trainer (reverse class system, reception activities are encouraged outside of attendance time).

- Resource Center: access to paper and digital media during the association's opening hours, with the presence of a qualified person who can guide the trainee in his research/work independently.
- Individual coaching in addition to semi-group lessons: throughout the training, the trainee benefits from professional advice to enable him to make the most of his free time.
